Supermicro System BMC Firmware Update Package Operation Instructions

Please read this document in it before performing the system BMC firmware update.  
Please verify that your system meets the requirements.

This update package includes the following system software updates & utilities:

1. Do not interrupt, reboot or remove power from your system during the update.
   Doing so may cause the system failure.

2. If the software update fails, you may contact our RMA Department to have the
   BIOS/BMC firmware chip reprogrammed. This will require shipping the board to
   Supermicro for repair.  Please submit your RMA request at:
   http://www.supermicro.com/support/rma/.

                 Steps to Update BIOS through SAA Flash Script
*******************************************************************************
1. Save the BMC update package to your workstation computer.

2. Extract the files from the BIOS flash package to a USB stick. 
   
   Note: The USB stick doesn't have to be bootable, but has to be formatted with
         the FAT32 file system.

3. Plug the USB stick into a USB port, boot to the Built-In UEFI Shell, and
   switch to BMC update package.

   Shell> fs0:
   fs0:\> cd X13BMC

   Note: The BMC account used for the BMC update must have admin privileges.

4. Run the command in the command_example.txt to update BIOS.

   Example:
   flash.nsh BMC_X13AST2600-ROT20-D301MS_20220505_00.03.07_STDsp.bin ADMIN ADMIN

5. Do not interrupt the process until the BMC is updated successfully.
