1.Improvements and Fixes :

 ˇEEnabled machines with AMD I/O Virtualization Technology (IOMMU) to boot without BIOS restriction.

Phenomenon:

  If the BIOS configuration has enabled the IOMMU function. (IOMMU Enabled)
  When the boot to the operating system, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 will not boot properly, and will stop at the Microsoft logo screen.

Solution:

Step 1 :

The user must reboot to enter the BIOS configuration settings screen and turn off the IOMMU function.

AMD CBS-> NBIO Common Options-> NB Configuration-> IOMMU-> Disabled

Step 2 :

After entering the Microsoft Windows Server 2016, please install Microsoft Hotfix KB4022723 for AMD EPYC IOMMU Patch first.

Step 3 :

After updating Microsoft Hotfix KB4022723, then reboot to enter the BIOS configuration settings screen and enable the IOMMU feature, which can be used normally after reboot.

AMD CBS-> NBIO Common Options-> NB Configuration-> IOMMU-> Enabled
